John Hull Electrics works out of Saratoga, on the Brisbane Water side of the Coast. We repair ovens, fridges, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and air conditioning in homes across the NSW Central Coast, from Patonga to Berkeley Vale to Somersby. Built-in ovens, dishwashers under the bench, fridges in the cavity. We work on appliances in the home rather than carting them off to a workshop, which is the whole reason the service van carries what it does.

Where we go
Grouped the way the Coast actually works rather than alphabetically, because that is how you will find yours.
The Woy Woy peninsula
Woy Woy, Blackwall, Woy Woy Bay, Phegans Bay, Horsfield Bay, Koolewong, Tascott, Umina Beach, Ettalong Beach, Booker Bay, Pearl Beach and Patonga. The peninsula sits on its own side of Brisbane Water, so it is a run in its own right rather than somewhere you drop in on between Gosford jobs. Patonga and Pearl Beach are the southern end of everything we do. Washing machines, dryers and fridges here the same as anywhere else on the Coast.
Killcare and the Bouddi side
Killcare, Killcare Heights, Hardys Bay, Pretty Beach, Wagstaffe, Empire Bay, Daleys Point and St Huberts Island. The far side of the water from Woy Woy, reached the long way round through Kincumber rather than straight across it. These are small villages and they get left off a lot of coverage lists. They are on ours.
Saratoga, Davistown and the Kincumber side
Saratoga, Davistown, Yattalunga, Bensville, Kincumber, Kincumber South and Green Point. This one is home. John Hull Electrics works out of The Corso at Saratoga, so this cluster is the closest thing we have to a back yard, and it is where the day starts before the calls come in.
Gosford and the valleys
Gosford, East Gosford, West Gosford, North Gosford, Point Frederick, Point Clare, Wyoming, Narara, Niagara Park, Lisarow and Ourimbah. Gosford and the suburbs running north up the valley to Ourimbah. Everything from ovens and cooktops to dishwashers, in houses and in units.
Erina and the plateau
Erina, Erina Heights, Springfield, Holgate, Matcham and Picketts Valley. Erina and the acreage behind it. Matcham, Holgate and Picketts Valley are rural blocks rather than suburban streets, so the driveways are longer and the houses are further apart. We come out there the same as anywhere, fridge and freezer repairs included.
The beaches
Avoca Beach, North Avoca, Copacabana, MacMasters Beach, Terrigal, Wamberal and Forresters Beach. The coastal strip from Avoca up to Forresters Beach. If you have a Miele or a Bosch appliance, we carry parts for both in the service van, so you are not waiting on a factory booking to get it looked at.
The northern edge
Bateau Bay, Killarney Vale, Tumbi Umbi, Berkeley Vale, Fountaindale and Palmdale. Berkeley Vale is about as far north as we go on the coast side. Past that we are not the right call, and we would rather tell you than take the booking.
Kariong and the western edge
Kariong and Somersby. Somersby is the western limit, up on the plateau above Gosford, with Kariong on the way. Air conditioning and oven repairs both, same as everywhere else.
Same fee, whichever suburb you're in
Plenty of trades on the Coast charge by how far they have to come. We do not. There is one service call fee, it is the same at Patonga as it is at Berkeley Vale, and you hear what it is when you ring rather than when the job is done.
It is a simpler way to run a small business and it means nobody gets a surprise. It also means there is no suburb inside our area that we would rather not come to.
The day runs out of Saratoga and gets routed around whoever has rung. Which is why the answer to 'when can you get here' is one we give on the phone rather than on a web page. Ring us and you will know before you hang up.
If we are booked out we will say so. If you are outside the area we will say that too, and point you somewhere sensible rather than leave you ringing around.

What happens when you call
Tell us where you are and what's broken
Ring 0410 441 205, seven days, 7am to 7pm. Tell us your suburb, the appliance and what it is doing. You will speak to the technician, and we will tell you the service call fee straight up.
Get a real time, not a maybe
We will tell you when we can be there while you are still on the phone. If we are booked out we will say so rather than string you along.
We come to the appliance
We repair appliances where they are, built-in ones included. Nothing gets pulled out of the cabinetry and carted off to a workshop.
Back working, backed in writing
Every repair carries our 12 month warranty on parts and labour. If the same fault comes back, so do we.

Do you charge more if I'm further away?
No. One service call fee, the same in every suburb we cover, and we tell you what it is when you ring. There is no travel surcharge and no zone pricing.
Do you go to Wyong, Tuggerah or The Entrance?
No. Berkeley Vale is our northern limit. We would rather tell you that up front than take a booking we cannot do properly.
How quickly can you get to my suburb?
Ring us and you will know before you hang up. We will tell you when we can be there while you are still on the phone, and if we are booked out we will say so. The suburb makes less difference than you would think, because the day gets routed around whoever has called.
Are you actually based on the Central Coast?
Yes. John Hull Electrics has worked out of Saratoga since 1987 and it is a family business. Not a franchise, and not someone driving up from Sydney.
Do you repair appliances in units as well as houses?
Yes. Houses, units and townhouses, all the same. If you are renting, just check with whoever pays the bill before you book us in.
Does someone need to be home?
Yes. Someone needs to be there to let us in and show us the appliance. It does not have to be the person who rang.
Do you do free quotes anywhere in the area?
For a new air conditioning installation, yes, anywhere in the area above. For appliance repairs, no. Working out what is wrong is the job, so it is covered by the service call fee rather than done for nothing.
What if my suburb isn't on the list?
Ring and ask. The list above is the area we service. If you are outside it we will say so on the call and point you somewhere sensible, rather than leave you ringing around.
